Public urged to avail benefits of Hill Leaders ' Day, Meeyamgi Numit

Imphal, August 18 2022: Different district administrations on Thursday organised district level Meeyamgi Numit, which aims at delivering services and benefits of government schemes to the public.

The monthly programme was scheduled for August 19 but as Janmastami is a general holiday, Meeyamgi Numit and Hill leaders' Day were preponed and conducted on Thursday.

The event for Imphal East district was held at Panchayat Bhavan, Porompat.

DC Imphal East Khumanthem Diana led the event during which 319 applications were received and 46 individuals provided services rendered by different government departments.

The officials also received five grievances from the public and all of them were addressed on the spot.

DC Thokchom Kirankumar led in organising a similar event for Imphal West district held at the DC Office complex, Lamphelpat.

During the programme, 267 applications were received and some of them resolved on the spot while others needed additional days for following up with other offices.

The event ended early as the government declared half-holiday on account of Durand Cup inaugural function.

Speaking at these occasions, both the DCs urged the public to take benefits of the event, which is held on third Friday of every month since July.

For the current month, the event was rescheduled on Thursday as Friday is a public holiday.

SPs and DLOs of different departments of both the districts also attended the programmes.

Mention may be made here that Imphal East district administration received 148 applications and service requests while Imphal West district administration received over 400 applications in July.

CHURACHANDPUR: In respect of Churachandpur district, the Meeyamgi Numit was held at Multi-purpose Hall, Mini-Secretariat Complex, Tuibong in the presence of deputy commissioner Sharath Chandra Arroju and district level officers including SP Shivanand Surve, DFO, CEO/ADCC, all SDOs/BDOs and officers from other line departments.

During the event, vaccination programme and Health check-up counters were setup by Health Department wherein 24 persons were administered vaccination and 16 persons provided free medical check-up.

A total of 112 queries/com-plaints were received, out of which, 48 queries were resolved on the spot.

At the same time, DC Sharath Chandra directed all concerned to expedite the disposal of all complaints received and submit action taken report/status of complaints by August 26.The complaints/applications received were related to MGNREGS, CMHT, driving license, SWAN connection, PLMVY, certificate, forest land, voter ID card, road conditions, passing of Bills by TO, Registration of NGOs, traffic matter, district council, electricity, education, insecticide & fertilizers, revenue, fisheries, job card, housing scheme, loan issue and CHMT verifier among others.

The DC also interacted with the people on 'first come first serve' basis to ensure that weaker section of the society, widows and differently abled persons get adequate opportunity for interaction.

SENAPATI: The district administration organised District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit on Thursday for the month of August at Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, Senapati.

During the programme, 51 grievances were registered relating to Health, PMAY-G, Agriculture, Fishery, Handloom and Textile, Education and others while DC Mahesh Chaudhari distributed various items under various departments to the beneficiaries.

They included four Knapsack Sprayers, Urea issued by District Agriculture Office, five CMHT cards issued by medical department and two Manipur Yarn Pass Books issued by District Handloom and Textile.

In the later part of the day, Sabhavana Day pledge was administered to all the participants.

The programme was attended by ADM/CEO ADC, ADSP, all the BDOs, DLOs and public leaders. JIRIBAM: Jiribam district administration organised Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) and Hill Leaders' Day at DC Complex, Chingdong Leikai, Jiribam.

It was attended by DC W Malemnganba Chenglei, divisional forest officer Rajesh Darade, ADM Jameson Hangshing and additional SP EL Fimate along with SDO Jiribam, SDC Borobekra, DLOs and staff of various departments.

Different departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Social Welfare, CAF & PD etc., rendered their service at the special event.

Apart from providing many services, around 14 people were administered Covid Vaccines by Jiribam CMO team led by MO Dr N Soroja Devi.

Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation distributed Sprinkler Irrigation set to select beneficiaries as CAF & PD department distributed LPG cylinders to beneficiaries.

A total of 302 Old Age Pension Cards, 118 CM Widow Pension Scheme Cards were also distributed by Social Welfare department.

Jiribam DC heard the grievances of the people one by one and instructed the department officials for necessary action.

More than 124 applications of various issues related to developmental works and other were received for further necessary action.

Later, the DC administered the Sadbhavana Day Pledge to the department officials.

THOUBAL: Meeyamgi Numit for Thoubal district was organised at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex during which DC A Subhash Singh heard the grievances and demands of the public and also distributed 11 Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) cards to the eligible beneficiaries.

Around 98 written applications were received on Thursday with queries pertaining to CMHT card, Old Age Pen-sion/Widow Pension, housing scheme, handloom card, birth certificate and others.

All together 20 stalls of different departments were set up to meet the demand of the public including Police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, District Supply Officer, Agriculture among others.

SP Jogeshchandra Haobijam, CMO, all Sub- Divisional Officers and other District level Officers of different departments attended the programme to address the grievances of the general public.

BISHNUPUR: Bishnupur district administration organised Meeyamgi Numit at Panchayat Resource Centre Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex here.

As many as 96 applications were received from the people of the district for this monthly citizen engagement initiative to address public grievances.

DC Lourembam Bikram interacted with the people on first come first served basis for immediate redressal of their grievances, in the presence of SP N Herojit, SDO/BDOs, divisional forest officer and DLOs among others.

ADM Bishnupur H Bobby Sharma, who is also the coordinator of District Meeyamgi Numit ensured the smooth conduct of the event.

Chief Medical Office and District Social Welfare Office set up stalls to facilitate issuance and renewal of CMHT cards and to provide services under Old Age Pension Schemes (GAPS) respectively.

Similar to the applications received last month, maximum applications were for CMHT and OAPS services.

Applications for Ration Cards under CAF& PD; land computerisation under Revenue Department, driving license application under Transport department among others were also received.

Altogether four CMHT cards, two Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and one Ration Card were handed over to the applicants.
