Churachandpur, June 18 2022:
All the non-local traders in Churachandpur closed down their shops on Saturday in protest against the killing of Anand Gupta from Kochas in Rohtas district of Bihar.
Anand was staying in a rented quarter with his brother Subhas Gupta and owned a variety shop at Zion Street, Salem Veng.
According to Shiv Shanker, secretary of the Bihari Society, the body of Anand was taken-to the Imphal airport from RIMS for Bihar.
The society's leaders would convene a meeting and decide steps to be taken in connection with the killing.
He also appealed to all to desist from committing such heinous crime on the Biharis as they too are human beings trying to earn money by doing what they can whether big or small.
