SHRI conducts heart camp at Dimapur

Imphal, June 18 2022:
A one-day free heart disease detection camp for 0-18 years was held at Civil Hospital, Dimapur, under the aegis of Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) on Saturday.
During the camp organised jointly by Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI), Imphal and National Health Mission- Nagaland, a total of 43 children from all around Nagaland were screened by the experts.
In a release, SHRI business' development deputy man ager Takhellambam Prem-kumar informed that camp provided free consultation and ECHO screening to all the registered individuals.
ASD, VSD and PDA device closure as well as open surgery cases were detected through the ECHO screening at the camp.
These children will be treated at SHRI under the RBSK Scheme, it said and explained that RBSK is a National Rural Health Mission programme that aims at early identification and intervention for children from birth to 18 years who are diagnosed with Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs), Cleft lip and Cleft Palate, Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH), Congenital Cataract, Congenital Deafness, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Otitis Media, Dental Carries and Vision Impairment.
