Th Shanti vows to fight drug menace

Expressing his support to the Chief Minister's "War on Drugs 2.0" campaign, Moirang AC MLA, Thongam Shanti Singh has announced that he would strive to make Manipur a drug free state.
He made the announcement while addressing a public meeting held at Kwakta Bazar Community Hall yesterday as a part of "War on Drugs 2.0" campaign initiated by Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Th Shanti continued that he would provide all possible assistance to the Chief Minister N Biren Singh in curbing the drug menace from the state.
Stating that he won't compromise against any.
drug traffickers, the MLA said, "I became a public leader to serve the people, bring development in the state and guide the youth towards a better future" .
He also appealed to the public to support the "War on Drugs" campaign to save the youths and future generations of the state.
He urged the public to come forward with information about any drug addicts in their vicinity so that they are rehabilitated and given proper medical care.
Th Shanti further announced that he would bear the cost of rehabilitating the drug-addicts to ensure that they become a responsible member of the society.
The public meeting was attended by SP Bishnupur, N Herojit; Additional SP Ops, Roni Mayengbam; Additional SP LO, Satyam; SDPO Moirang, L Shantikumar; councillors of Kwakta Municipal Council; members of NGOs, CSOs and religious leaders.
