JAC announces reward for info on missing persons

In connection with the missing of Atom Sa-marendra and Yumkhaibam Kirankumar Singh since May 6, the JAC formed to pursue the matter has de-clared reward of Rs two lakh (one lakh each) to whoever finds or provides information about the missing duo.
In a release, Joint Action Committee (JAC) for Missing of Atom Samarendra Singh & Yumkhaibam Kiranku-mar Singh adhoc convenor Irengbam Gandhajit Singh informed that Samarendra and Kirankumar are miss-ing since May 6 after they went out from their homes in a Renault Kwit (MNO6 LX 0036).As whereabouts of the two remain unknown till date, the JAC consulted with the people and decided to reward Rs one lakh each to whoever provides inputs on the missing persons, he said, adding that details of the informants will be kept confidential.
The JAC also adopted other resolutions includ-ing launch of protest till the missing persons are found and for conduct of extensive search by state government and CSOs as the missing case is related to the ethnic clash.
In separate releases, Sports & Youth's Organ-ising Club (SAYOC) and Heigrujam Youth Rising Club appealed for release of the missing persons if they were taken hostage and urged the government to find them and hand over to the respective families.
They also urged the peo-ple to help in finding the missing persons.
Meanwhile, Leitong Ath-letic Club and Leitong Meira Paibi staged sit-in protest in connection with the miss-ing persons and demanded that the government look into the matter seriously.
