Student bodies declare 'non-cooperation' to government

Churachandpur, September 05 2021:
Student bodies/associations in Churachandpur district held a joint meeting at KSO Ccpur office and adopted a resolution to declare 'Non-Cooperation' to the government of Manipur until the proposed ADC Bill is passed and the order, to induct eight valley MLAs in HAC by the speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly is revoked.
According to a joint statement of KSO Ccpur and HSA, tribal populace of Churachandpur district stand strongly against the anti-tribal attitude of the N Biren government as non-tabling of the ADC Bill, 2021 and the subsequent move to include valley MLAs in HAC in contravention to Article 371C of the Indian Constitution is totally anti-tribal.
It also said that tribal people cannot afford to witness the hypocritical display of government's double standard towards tribal people and appealed to people of Churachandpur not to attend the launching of 'Go to Village 2.0' by state government scheduled to be organised on September 6 at Peace Ground, Tuibong.
