Noney reports disturbing TPR of 32.3 pc

Even as the State registered 322 new Covid cases and 2 deaths in the last 24 hours, the daily test positivity rate in Noney touched a record high of 32.3 percent.
It may be noted that Ukhrul reported a positivity rate of 26.5 percent which was by far the highest in any district till today while Noney reported nil on Saturday.
According to a statement of COVID-19 Control Room, at least 99 samples from Noney were sent for Covid testing, of which the result of 32 came out positive while the test positivity of Ukhrul has been dropped to 16.8 percent against 26.5 reported yesterday.
The new 322 positive persons, on the other hand, which were tested at RIMS (10), JNIMS (14) and other centres (298) are from Imphal East (42), Imphal West (100), Thoubal (14), Bishnupur (25), Kakching (6), Ukhrul (17), Churachandpur (44), Chandel (3), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (5), Noney (32), Pherzawl (1), Kamjong (28) and Kangpokpi (1) .
In term of Covid positivity rate, Noney (32.3 pc); UKhrul (16.8), Kamjong (13.4) and Bishnupur (13.4) reported the highest while Tengnoupal and Jiribam which tested 73 and 13 samples respectively reported nil.
The overall positivity rate of the State, as per the Government bulletin, also witnessed a rise of .2 percent against 9 reported yesterday.
Altogether 3491 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.
In the same period, 1 Covid death each was reported from Thoubal and Churachandpur.
Both the deceased were not vaccinated against COVID-19 while one of them had co-morbidity.
The cumulative figure of deaths now stands at 1,798 .
Altogether 338 persons were discharged from Home Isolation (123), RIMS (24), JNIMS (8), CCCs (113) and CHICs (70), today.
The recovery rate is 95.61 percent.
With the addition of 322 new cases, the cumulative and the active cases have been stretched to 1,15,399 and 3,260 respectively.
In the last 24 hours, 1462 D type and 378 B type oxygen cylinders were distributed to different health facilities.
The number of Covid vaccines administered on Saturday (September) was 6338 .
