Dr RK Ranjan meets Sikkim CM

Imphal, September 12 2021:
Union minister of state for education and external affairs Dr RK Ranjan met with chief minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang at the official residence of the latter at Mintokgang in Gangtok on Sunday.
During the meeting, the two discussed policies for bringing closer the north-eastern states so as to usher in inclusive development in the region.
The Sikkim CM brought up the condition of education sector in the state to the union minister.
He also drew attention of the minister to issues related with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose University of Excellence, NIT Khamdong and other upcoming educational institution projects.
He also urged the union minister to regularly visit the northeast states to bring better understanding and unity among the NE states.
They also discussed other topics such as organic farming, health, tourism and Covid-19 pandemic.
