Imphal, September 12 2021:
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 which was earlier put off due to COVID-19 was held today.
The test through which eligible candidates would be selected for studying undergraduate medical and dental courses was also held in the State at 22 centres including CC Higher Secondary School and Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School.
The exam started at 2 pm and went on till 5 pm.
As this reporter visited some of the centres, the authorities were seen taking up necessary measures in order to ensure that candidates adhere to the Covid SOP.
The candidates were sent inside the exam centres after frisking one by one.
Some candidates who gave the exam at CC Higher Secondary School said that the exam was not very tough.
Around 1.60 lakh students appeared in NEET 2021 which was conducted by the National Testing Agency at 679 centres spread across 270 cities of the country.
