Tammi-Chingmi Lup celebrates silver Jubilee

Imphal, November 26 2022: All Manipur Tammi-Chingmi Apunba Lup celebrated its silver jubilee at the premises of Yambem Muhori Memorial Youth Club, Yairipok on Saturday.

Lup president Yambem Momon, All Manipur Social Reformation and Development Samaj president Thokchom Ramani Leima, Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup president Lourembam Nganbi Leima, United Committee Manipur vice-president RK Dhiren and Kangchup Chiru Women's Society former chairman Achim Thaga attended the event as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Yambem Momon recalled the journey of the Lup since 1997 as a social response to the police atrocities and menace of drugs and alcohol in the 90s as well as to promote unity and integrity between hills and valley.

She also highlighted the activities of the Lup that are being carried out through its multiple branches located in different parts of the state on various social issues like women's safety, violation of human rights and AFSPA among others.

Floral tributes were paid to the portraits of three deceased leaders of the Lup on the occasion.
