State boxing: 32 final bouts decided on penultimate day

32 boxers walked home with gold medals on the penultimate day of the State Level Boxing Championships 2022 at Boxing Arena, Khuman Lampak.
In the men's elite group, Kingson Pukhrambam (-54kg category), Laishram Edison Singh (-57kg), Akoijam Naoton Singh (-60kg), Rohit Ningthoujam Singh (-63.5kg), Moiangthem Sanathoi Meitei (-67kg), Oinam Mangalthoi Singh (-71kg) and Huidrom Nongthon Meitei (-80kg) emerged as the victors in their respective final bouts on Saturday.
On the other hand, 11 gold-medal bouts were decided in the youth (men & women) event where Soibam Yaiphaba Singh (-48kg), Irungbam Malemnganba Singh (-54kg), Chungnei-reng M Kom (-57kg), Wahengbam Lamjingba (-60kg), Chinglemba Moirangthem (63.5kg), Laishram Luhen Meitei (67kg) and Thongam Bikiraj Singh (-71kg) all prevailed for the yellow metal.
The sub-junior competition (boys & girls) saw Johnson Khoirom Singh (-58kg), Khangchakpam Punsiba (-61kg), Rajkumar Yumkhaibam (-64kg), Moirangthem Khrismira Devi (-40kg), Moirangthem Max Chanu (-42kg), Thokchom Lucky Devi (-44kg), Khaidem Manganthoi Chanu (-46kg), Loitongbam Bidya Devi (-48kg), Ningthoujam Anjali Devi (-50kg), Amom Malamnganbi Chanu (-52kg), Maria Pame (-54kg) and Yumnam Rakhi Devi (-57kg) clinch gold medals.
In the day's master (girls) event, Hawaibam Lingjen Chanu (-42kg) and Sarangthem Linthoi Chanu triumphed in their respective final matches.
