Familiarisation exercise on disaster response conducted

Pherzawl, November 26 2022: The 12th NDRF, Itanagar, Ministry of Home Affairs in coordination with District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Pherzawl, headed by the Deputy Commissioner Pherzawl, successfully conducted a Familiarisation Exercise on Disaster Response in different locations of Pherzawl District from November 21 to 27, 2022.During the Familiarisation Exercise, the following activities namely, School Safety Programme was conducted at Parbung Higher Secondary School on November 21, along with Community Awareness Programme at Parbung and Senvon on November 22 and 23.Mock Exercise was also conducted at Parbung on November 25.It may be mentioned that during the exercise, the NDRF team with the support of District Disaster Management Authority also visited neighbouring villages which are vulnerable to landslides and other flood prone areas for familiarisation of the terrain.
