Imphal, July 15 2021:
All India Imams' Council, Manipur state has strongly condemned the government order issued by SP (CID) banning slaughter for sacrifice and transportation of animals ahead of Bakra-Eid and termed the order which went viral on social media and reported by local dailies as an attempt to infringe on the festival of sacrifice of the Muslim.
In a statement, All India Imams' Council, Manipur state said that intervention in the celebration of Bakra-Eid festival of Muslim by a policy of the Central government which is governed under RSS agenda depicts that there is no religious freedom in the country.
It also asked chief minister N Biren Singh, who claims to be working for all the communities of the state equally, to specify reason behind taking such a decision before public.
The Government's policy of stopping religious ceremonies one by one forcibly and abolishing fundamental rights gradually as part of RSS' agenda of 'One Country, One Constitution' indeed is against law, the statement said and appealed to government to stop intervention in the religious freedom of the people in the tiny state like Manipur where different communities are living together.
