Edibles distributed to people in distress

Imphal, July 15 2021:
Continuing the efforts of ensuring relief items to the needy people affected by Covid-19 pandemic, AMUCO along with Imphal East United Clubs' Organisation (IEU-CO) and United Ching-tam Clubs' Association (UCCAN) distributed edible items to 104 households in Imphal East and Kangpokpi district including Sambei, Yumnam Khunou, Sinam, Sanjenlok, Ngakhapat and Sinam Kom on Thursday.
AMUCO has provided edibles to 6,118 vulnerable families of the state so far.
BJP Manipur Pradesh state council member and Covid-19 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force, BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha also distributed edible items to several households in Takhel Mamang, Sanjenbam Khullen, Sekta Awang, Pungdongbam Mamang, Sabungkhok Mamang, Leimakhongmapal, Nongada and Lousangkhong which have been declared as containment zones.
Meanwhile, Kairembikhok Students' Union Club (KSUC), Thoubal district has launched a campaign to make the masses aware on the safety protocols to stay free from Covid-19 in areas under Wangjing Tentha constituency and also distributed face masks, hand sanitizers and hand gloves to pedestrians and farmers who were on their way to farms for cultivation.
Wabagai constituency ex-MLA Dr Usham Deben too handed over essential items to Kakching Khunyai Leikai Covid Task Force for further distribution to families, who are living in containment zone.
The task force also organised door-to-door awareness programme and distributed face mask and hand sanitizers to people of the area.
Meanwhile, social worker Kangabam Jadumani distributed edible items to households in Yairipok Bamon Leikai Mairenba Leirak under Wangkhem constituency that have been notified as virus zone.
