In a first, Ningthoujam Nongpoknganba has been appointed as the National secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).
He is a former general secretary of BJYM, State unit.
Speaking to media persons, Nongpoknganba thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh and other party leaders for appointing him as the National secretary of BJYM.
He continued that BJP, 'the largest political party in the world', is paying special attention to develop the North East States by roping in youths from the region to National politics.
Nongpoknganba further thanked Prime Minister Modi and the BJP National leaders for inducting Lok Sabha MP Dr RK Ranjan as a Union Minister of State and appointing A Sharda Devi as the president of BJP, State unit.
Saying that Prime Minister Narendra is focusing on empowering Indian youths of the country, which constitute 65 percent of the total population to realise the dream of a new India, he added that the role of youth is crucial in forming a stable Government free of corruption.
He also maintained that active participation of youths in State electoral politics is equally important to make a new Manipur, just like the Prime Minister envisions a new India.
