Relief items, cash aid provided to relief camps

Kakching, June 06 2023:
Six organisations under Wangjing Gram Pan-chayat namely, Pioneer Club, Wangjing Hodamba Maning Leikai; ESWYC, Hodamba Mayai Leikai; UPSC, Hodam-ba Mamang Leikai; FUC, Wangjing Tekcham Leikai; WHUPU, Heitupokpi; and YDO, Heitupokpi Mamang Leikai provided edibles and monetary aid of Rs 10,000 each to relief camps opened at Sugnu Khongnangkhong and Sugnu Makha on Tues-day.
According to Pioneer Club secretary Naorem lboyaima, the material and cash aid were pooled in by people of Wangjing for people dis-placed from Sugnu due to the ethnic violence.
Similarly, under the aegis of Kakching deputy commis-sioner, relief materials were distributed by NIYOC Club, Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai on Tuesday to the relief camps opened at Sanatombi High School, Keirak (475 inmates); Kakching Public School, Kakching Wairi (170 inmates); and Kakching Life School with 118 inmates.
The relief materials were handed over by NIYOC Club members to the peace com-mittees running the camps.
