Call raised for abrogation of SoO pact, withdrawal of Assam Rifles

Meira Paibis of Achanbigei Makha Leikai and Achanbigei Awang Leikai staged a sit-in protest today against the atrocities of Kuki militants which is posing a great threat to the integrity of the State.
The protestors demanded for the abrogation of the Suspension of Operation (SoO) pact and strongly denounced the demand for a separate administration.
All Wangjing Lamding Kaorembikhok Club Organisation (AWALAKACO) Advisor Narengbam Rajivkumar maintained that the State will experience a more intense situation if the unlawful activities of Kuki militants are not checked.
He made the above statement while speaking at the sit-in protest held at Lamding Wangjing Bazar today organised by the Committee For Peace And Integrity demanding for the protection of State's integrity and an amicable solution to resolve the ongoing unrest in Manipur.
Meira Paibis of the area and women vendors of Lamding Wangjing Bazar participated in today's protest.
Voicing the same demands, Moirang Mairembam Leikai College Gate Nupi Lup and Meira Paibi staged a sit-in protest today at Moirang Mairembam Leikai Youth Club building.
Members of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi and local clubs and organisations staged a protest demonstration today urging for the withdrawal of Assam Rifles from the vulnerable areas of the State amid the rising distrust in Assam Rifles.
Placards which read 'Go Back Assam Rifles', 'Implement NRC immediately in Manipur', 'Revoke SoO pact with Kuki militants', 'Take actions against illegal Kuki migrants', 'Stop poppy cultivation', 'Resolve the unrest in State at the earliest' etc were used during the protests held at various places and similar slogans were raised by the protestors.
