Essential items, sanitary pads distributed

Many continued to extend help to people dis-placed by ethnic clash and are taking shelter at relief camps in different parts of the state by providing essential items including edible, water, medicines, sanitary pads, etc.
Wabagai MLA Dr Usham Deben and Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) Limited, Regional Institute-V, Bilaspur, Ch-hattisgarh through ADAM Kakching, All Manipur Manpower Upliftment Centre, Nine Helper Group Kakching, people of Sera, Macha Chanu Kakching, Kakching ASHA workers, villagers of 36 villages of Khangabok, Committee on Peaceful Co-existence, Jamiat-tul-Ullama Mayang Imphal, JYDC Mayang Imphal, Youth Helping and Development Organ-isation, Salai Taret Chan-' ura Leimarol Sintha Lup, Bharat Swabhiman Trust and Patanjali Yog Samiti extended essential items to relief camps set up in different areas.

The different relief camps where essential items were distributed includ-ed Moirang, Khundrak-pam, Pukhao, Wangjing, Yairipok, Thanga, Kanto, Khurkhul, Heingang Makha Leikai Model Club, Litan-pokpi, Lamlai, Sawombung Kakching Higher Secondary School and Taretkhul.
Meanwhile, in connec-tion with the Nurses' Day celebration, sanitary pads were distributed to dis-placed people taking shelter at 10 different relief centres opened in Thoubal and 2 in Imphal East, on May 12 .
The sanitary pads were distributed under the joint initiative of community health officers Paonam Ro-shalin and L Kunjeshwari along with Waikhom Mani Girls College Thoubalgi NSS unit programme officer Pa-onam Robinson.
