More teeth given to abrogate SoO pact call

Several Government employees have reportedly resolved to take up a massive and radical steps of agitation possibly even mass resignation if the Government doesn't withdraw the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement signed with Kuki militant groups.
As per a report received by the media, SoO groups often hinder the works of the Government employees apart from assaulting and taking them captives against the ground rules of the agreement on numerous occasions.
Reportedly, the Government has opened designated camps of the SoO groups after the signing of the agreement but the SoO cadres are actively taking part in the ethnic conflict by violating the conditions of the agreement.
The report further said that Kuki militants take part in ransacking and torching houses of one of the parties in the conflict apart from launching attacks on civilians and security forces regularly against the efforts of the Government and other stakeholders to end the conflict.
Many employees of Manipur Government have also been victimised by the alleged atrocity of the Kuki militants since the past many few years, the report continued.
Claiming that the Kuki militant groups are a hindrance in carrying out official duties, the report said that the officials of the State Government want the cancellation of SoO agreement and defang the armed groups.
