Sit-in resents violence, prayer held

Lamenting the un-fortunate violent clashes that rocked the state since on May 3, Singjamei Apun-ba Lup (SAL) on Sunday organised a sit-in against the present restive situ-ation at Oinam Thingel community hall and also donated essential items to relief camps.
Speaking in this regard, SAL chairman Oinam Biren regretted the riots that led to loss of life of many peo-ple and left several others injured and displaced.
The sit-in is being staged with an objective to awaken the politicians and organisa-tions, he said, while informing that SALprovided essential items to four relief camps set up in different areas for people displaced in the violent clashes.
Meanwhile, Uttra Shan-glen, Sana Konung under the aegis of titular king and Rajya Sabha MP Leishem-ba Sanajaoba held a prayer ritual at the shrines of Ibudhou Pakhangba and lbendhou Laisana at Ut-tra Shanglen for return of peace in Manipur.
In a release, Sana Konung publicity secretary Poireit-on Khuman informed that the ritual was attended by 'Angom Ningthou' and of-ficials along with 'Amai-ba', 'Amaibi', 'Pena' and Thang-Ta Loishangs.
