Awareness programme on PMMSY held

Kakching, December 17 2021:
A one-day district level awareness cum training programme on Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) was held on Friday at Chamdil Town Hall located in Panchai village, Chandel district.
The awareness programme was jointly organised by Laxmanrao Inamdaar National Academy for Cooperative Research and Development (LINAC), Regional Training Centre, National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Guwahati; Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (FAHD) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Chandel.
The inaugural function of the awareness cum training programme was attended by Chandel SDO N Pritam Singh as chief guesfwhile National Cooperative Development Corporation, Guwahati regional director Sebastian Joseph presided over the function.
KVK Chandel assistant chief technical officer (ATO) Dr K Sonamani delivered the key note address of the awareness cum training programme, during which Fishery inspector Adim Gangmei, CAU Imphal deputy director of instruction Dr Yumnam Bedajit, district cooperative officer Chandel M Surjit Singh, DFO Chandel K Jenishing Tarao, Diocesan Social Service Manipur director Fr Biju Lockose, KVK Chandel head Dr Ashem Ameeta Devi and NCDC Guwahati regional director Sebastian Joseph spoke as resource persons.
