"I quit my job and join electoral politics to shoulder public responsibilities"

Ukhrul, December 17 2021:
"I quit my job and joined State electoral politics to serve and shoulder public responsibilities in more meaningfully ways in order to transform our society into a viable economy", said NPF intending candidate Wungpam Raikhan.
Wungpam Raikhan made the statement while attending the 6th anniversary observation of Shimreishang & Maitonphi Park on Thursday at Longkhan Phungcham village, Ukhrul.
Addressing the gathering, Raikhan reiterated his commitment to dedicate the remaining part of his life for the people of Chingai constituency while adding that he had been officially enrolled in Naga people Front (NPF) for active participation in state politics.
The intending candidate also elaborated on the vision of NPF and stated the party is the right political platform for hill communities of the state.
"Every elected representative has the responsibility to keep the people informed of any Government policies, decisions, and benefits of different schemes", he asserted.
Wungpam Raikhan is currently seeking an NPF ticket from 45-Chingai AC for the upcoming Manipur State Legislative Assembly election 2022.It might be mentioned that the Shimreishang & Maitonphi Park was constructed by Yangreiram Beautification Society (YBS) in 2015 .
Local artistes including Nimzingla Horam and Somichan Vashum enthralled the gathering with their musical performances and cultural dance show.
