Imphal, December 17 2021:
Seven student bodies namely ATSUM, AIMS, AMSU, DESAM, KSA, MSF and SUK have resolved to look into the recent troubling uptick in violence in the form of fights and such untoward incidents occurring in educational institutions among students and find the reasons for such incidents along with the responsible individuals.
A joint statement released today by the 7 aforementioned student bodies urged guardians to give awareness to their wards on the consequences of such troubling actions.
The statement also appealed to students to avoid violent situations and instead focus their attention on their education.
A continued trend of this nature among students might pose a threat to the future of the State, the statement added.
The 7 student bodies also urged teachers and other Government authorities concerned to supervise this situation closely and take up appropriate measures.
