Sagolband MLA treasures 'Go to Leikai' campaign

The "Go to Leikai" campaign launched in 12 localities of Sagolband assembly constituency has been able to cover 7000 beneficiaries of the constituency have access to various government schemes, informed MLA RK Imo.
Speaking as the chief guest during distribution of widow pension card as a part of the "Go to Leikai" campaign organised by BJP Sagolband Mandal at Haorakchambi community hall on Saturday, the MLA informed that a total of 140 widows of the constituency submitted relevant documents to the social welfare department for availing benefits of pension scheme out of whom 100 were approved following which their pension cards were distributed.
Maintaining that the 'Go to Village and 'Go to Hills' campaigns of the government have been bearing fruit in addressing grievances of the people, he expressed delight that such initiatives are effective in bridging the developmental gap between the hills and the valley.
Further stating that 'Go to Leikai' campaign was launched to reach out to those places not covered by the 'Go to Village' campaign, MLA Imo informed that within a year of its launch the campaign has benefitted over 7000 people of the constituency.
The MLA detailed that 130 patients of heart, kidney and cancer have been provided Rs 20,000 each under the'health assistance programme of the MLA.
He also appealed to all concerned to submit relevant details for availing the widow and old age pension schemes of the government.
The function was also attended by IMC ward no 10 corporator Salam Tiken, BJP Sagolband Mandal president Dr H Ruhikanta and IMC ward no 7 corporator RK Jiten, among others.
