Govindas inaugurates Manipur Institute of Medical Sciences

Works minister Govindas Konthoujam inaugurated Manipur Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) Hospital run by D-Cacus Education Centre at Ningthoukhong Kha Leikai in Bishnupur district on Friday.
Speaking as the chief guest, Govindas appreciated MIMS Hospital managing director Dr IS Konthoujam for establishing the medical institute.
Even though its scope is small in the initial stage, he expressed confidence that the institute will expand its operation in the future.
For the time being, the institute will be providing X-ray imaging, blood tests and USG imaging services apart from its regular healthcare services.
An ambulance will be added soon to the institute, which will provide only para-medical courses as of now, the minister said while assuring his assistance in further development of the institute.
He also spoke on the employment opportunities that the institute would be offering to several youths.
Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited (IRFCL) chief managing director (additional charge) Shelly Verma presided over the inauguration function, which was also attended by IRFCL general manager PK Ojha, IESPL Noida, UP, director Dr Ravi Shankar Pandey, KBDS & Co New Delhi managing partner CA Krishna Kumar Chaudhury, and D-Cacus Education Centre chairman & MIMS Hospital managing director Dr IS Konthoujam as guests of honour.
