Koireng body lauds CM

Koren (Koireng) Youth Organisation, Manipur (KYO-M) has lauded chief minister N Biren for earmarking Rs 4 crore in the budget 2023-2024 for welfare of small tribes in Manipur.
In a release, KYO-M information and publicity secretary RT Sonrang Koireng appreciated the CM for bringing development, stabilising law & order, promoting peace & harmony in the state and for bringing hills and valley under 'Oneness' for progress of the state.
The secretary said it has been approaching and lob bying with the authorities concerned as well as head of the state for the last many years for such special budget for the promotion, protection, upliftment, development and welfare of minority tribes in some specific Helds.
Earmarking fund in the budget will benefit and uplift the small tribes of Manipur in targeted areas, he added.
The secretary further appealed to the chief minister for establishing Minority Tribal Commission for protection and promotion of minority ethnic groups for fair governance and administration and also enactment of bicameral inclusive participation of all ethnic communities in decision making bodies for advancement, better administration and harmony & integrity in the state.
