Drivers' stir begins

Demanding immediate release of driver Thokchom Ingobi (45), who was abducted by KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) cadres from Jakhlabanda in Assam on monetary demand, inter-State bus service operators and drivers have suspended service from today morning.
In this connection, All Manipur Night Super Drivers Welfare Association staged a dhama at North AOC today.
Zet Travels driver Sagolsem Romen said that KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) cadres abducted Ingobi in the inetervening night of June 13 and 14 while he was taking dinner in Murti Hotel, Jakhlabanda in Assam.
As Ingobi was not released by his captors within the given deadline of 5.30 pm of June 18, drivers who are operating on NH-39 have started their stir of suspending service from today morning, he added.
Likewise, Winger service would be suspended from tomorrow, he added.
