MPCC observes National Anti-Terrorism Day

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) observed National Anti-Terrorism Day on the occasion of 32nd death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Congress Bhawan, BT road on Sunday by offering floral tributes to his portrait.
In a release, MPCC general secretary (Admn) S Jeeten Singh informed that Committee's working president ex-MLA Victor Keishing led the gathering in taking oath against terrorism.
"We, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country's tradi-tion of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence.
We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values," the attendees pledged.
The release also conveyed that the observance was at-tended by former Lok Sabha MP Dr Thokchom Meinya as chief guest and ex- minister Ak Mirabai Devi as guest of honour, along with office bearers of MPCC, PCC, chiefs of frontal/cells/departments and Congress workers.
