Asia-Pacific-Africa Powerlifting C'ships : 6 State athletes make it to Indian team

Imphal, May 21 2023:
As many as six athletes from Manipur have been selected in the Indian team for the Asia-Pacific-Africa Equipped Powerlifting and Bench Press Championships for Sub-Junior, Junior, Open (Senior) and Masters.
The championships are scheduled to be held from June 24 to 30 in Hong Kong.

The players who made it to the Indian team, as listed by the Powerlifting India, are
Athokpam Rosy (Master 1: 57 kg),
T Lena (Master 2 : +84 kg),
Gaihutlung Panmei (Sub-Jr : 53 kg),
T Ibemhal (Master 3 : 57 kg),
Konsam Rosida (Open : +84 kg) and
Kirankumar Kangjam (Master 3 : 59 kg) .
A Rosy and K Rosida will be competing in the equipped bench press event while T Lena will be competing in the equipped powerlifting event.
In the meantime, Gaihutlung Panmei and T Ibemhal will be taking part in classic powerlifting and Kirankumar Kangjam in the classic bench press event.
