Memorial trees planted, integrity block opened

Kakching, May 21 2023:
Along with planting trees in memory of those who have lost their lives in the re-cent ethnic clash in the state, the Alliance for Development Alternative Manipur (ADAM), Kakching opened a Peace and Integrity Block at the Awang Ching Eco Park Kaching on Sunday.
The tree plantation event was attended by volunteers of Youth and Students Development Or-ganisation (1979 matric batch, Kakching High School), Ka-kching Bazar Business Welfare Association, Kakching Keithel Apunba Ima Lup, Sanjoy Foot-ball Coaching Centre Kakching and Range Forest Office Ka-kching.

During the function held as part of the regular Sunday Eco Club Activities, T-shirts were distributed to 8 footballers of Padma Ratna English School, Kakching and the officials who will be leaving for London.
Speaking on the occasion, ADAM secretary Surjit Kshet-rimayum appealed to the gov-ernment to take up all measures possible to bring peace in the state and also to formulate a re-habilitation policy for those af-fected by the communal clashes.
He also stated that the block where the memorial trees have been planted will be known as "peace and Integrity Block" henceforth.
