Vungzagin Valte flags off medical team

Imphal, March 11 2021:
Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister, Vungzagin Valte flagged off Tribal Health Centre (THC) staff of Molcham, Chandel District and an ambulance for the same in a solemn programme held today at his residential quarter, Imphal.
The Department of Tribal Affairs and Hills have been running 5 Tribal Health Centres in the remotest village of Manipur since 2015.Established with the aim to provide affordable quality health services, create accessibility and maintain sustainability in the absence of the medical department, the centres are providing basic medical needs of the villagers with free supply of medicine and free health care services including basic laboratory test facilities.
It may be mentioned that the 5 THCs are located at Impa in Tamenglong district, Kangjang in Senapati district, Chamu in Kamjong district, Thingpuikuol in Pherzawl district and one newly opened at Molcham in Chandel district.
Each centre is staffed with a doctor, GNM, ANM, lab technician, ambulance driver and a caretaker.
