'ATSUM's talk with Govt fails to break ice'
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, March 11 2021:
The 24 hours bandh from midnight of March 12 called by ATSUM (All Tribal Students' Union Manipur) remains as the Government and the student union failed to come to an agreement today, said highly placed sources.
The representatives of the union met Chief Minister N Biren Singh today in the evening.
It may be noted that ATSUM had given March 11 as deadline to issue ADC election notification to the Government.
It had warned the Government that a 24 hour bandh will be imposed in all tribal areas if it fails to issue the election notification.
Many organisations had also extended their support to ATSUM's call for bandh.
