Amir Hussain felicitated by Indian Youth Congress

Amir Hussain, the longest serving President of Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress, was felicitated by Indian Youth Congress(I YC) along with Ex-Presidents and NOBs in presence of Rahul Gandhi at IYC Head Quarters, New Delhi recently on March 8 during the National Executive Meeting of Indian Youth Congress attended by NOBs and State Presidents.
Amir Hussain, who recently got relieved from Youth Congress, started his organisational journey as a Youth Congress member in 2007.He has worked as a State Co-ordinator, Aam Aadmi Ka Sipahi (2007-10) under PYC President Km L Tilotama, State PYC Secretary (2010-11) under PYC President M Prithiviraj Singh .
He got elected as PYC President in 2012 and continued to work till March 2020.During his tenure as the State PYC President, he brought the students' issues of Manipur University and State issues on Petrol & LPG gas price hike to national level by leading protests both in Imphal and Delhi.
His contribution in strengthening Youth Congress in Manipur was recognised by Rahul Gandhi.
During his tenure in Manipur, he has contributed immensely under the guidance of former Chief Manipur of Manipur O Ibobi Singh and 3 Manipur PCC Presidents, namely Gaikhangam, TN Haokip and M Okendro.
