Imphal, June 11 2015 :
The recent debacles of the Indian occupation forces in Indian occupied Manipur and its neighbouring State of Nagaland compelled the Delhi Government to undertake immediate media hype to bolster the already rock bottom morale of its occupation forces in the region, the proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) said on Thursday.
"And with ulterior motive to create misunderstanding among the revolutionary forces of the region, the Government of India is sponsoring and spoon feeding concocted and doctored news items to its news channels and print media," said a statement of the outfit's department of publicity signed by its director M Sak-hen.
On June 10, 2015, The Times of India published one such ridiculous and unfounded story under the caption, "Khaplang emerges as the most important militant leader in NE," it added.
UNLF quoted the news item as saying, "RK Meghen who is now inside a Guwahati Jail wanted to become the chairman of the newly floated United National Liberation Front of Western South-East Asia (UNLFW).
The Indian intelligence intercepted messages sent by RK Meghen to his group not to join the UNLFW if the chairman's post is not given to him." UNLF further reported that this is the reason why CorCom didn't join the UNLFW, the outfit mentioned and said this report is totally baseless and impractical as the honorary chairman of UNLF is now in Indian jail.
UNLF clarified that CorCom's not joining UNLFW is not related to Sana Yaima, honorary chairman, UNLF and said any sane person can easily see that this news item published by TOI is pure fabrication from a wild and nonsensical imagination of the national paper or whoever feeding the news.
The statement said UNLF once again reiterates that this is simply a concocted and biased story item by TOI to create mischief.
