Imphal, June 11 2015 :
The proscribed UNLF has dismissed a news report published in The Times of India on June 10 under the heading "Khaplang emerges as the most important militant leader in NE' as concocted and biased.
According to a press release issued by the outfit's director M Sak-hen, the particular news item reported that "RK Meghen who is now inside Guwahati jail wanted to become the Chairman of the newly floated United National Liberation Front of Western South-East Asia (UNLFW) .
The Indian intelligence intercepted messages sent by RK Meghen to his group not to join the UNLFW if the Chairman's post is not given to him." The Times of India further reported that this is the reason why CorCom didn't join the UNLFW.
This is totally baseless, and impractical as the honorary Chairman of UNLF is in Indian jail.
It clarified that CorCom not joining UNLFW, is not related to Sana Yaima, Honorary Chairman, UNLF.
Any sane person can easily see that this news item published by TOI is pure fabrication from a wild and nonsensical imagination of TOI or whoever fed the news, it added.
