Mangang Constructions Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary unit of Spanish multinational company Isolux-Corsan has been selected to execute many infrastructure development works including roads across the country.
This was announced by Mangang Constructions Pvt Ltd managing director Humane Mutumcha during a reception function held at their Minuthong office where Isolux-Corsan Guwahati regional office's general manager Mahesh Kumar Mishra was accorded a warm reception.
Together with another MNC Morgan Stanley Infrastructures Limited, Isolux-Corsan would be constructing roads whose total length would be 700 Kms by investing US $ 400 million.
National Highway Authority of India has already given its consent to take up these road projects.
Isolux-Corsan has entrusted construction work of Jorhat-Jhanji and Jhanji-Dimao roads in Assam whose total length is 88 Kms and the project's estimated cost is Rs 90 crore, Humane Mutum said.
Specified period for completion of the project is three years but the firm is targeting to complete the same work within two years and a half.
Mahesh Kumar Mishra said that Mangang Constructions Pvt Ltd would remain in charge of maintenance for four years after constructing the roads.
To a query, he said that Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has assured to sanction a package of Rs 50,000 crore exclusively for the North East region.
Manipur would definitely get some shares from this package.
The details of the package will be known by August, Mishra said.
