Imphal, July 16 2013:
Reacting against the decision of the State Cabinet to take over Sana Konung, Muslim Women's Development Organisation has exclaimed that there will be no negotiation with the State Government over confiscation of Sana Konung.
Taking part the ongoing protest agitation staged at Sana Konung today, Anwari Noorjahan, President of Muslim Women's Development Organisation, categorically stated that existence of Sana Konung in its original form with the King residing in it is a clear indication that Manipur was once an independent Kingdom with its own administrative set up of governance.

So, the decision of the State Government to confiscate Sana Konung is unfortunate and condemnable in the strongest term.
She further stated that the decision of the State Government to take over Sana Konung is to destroy the historical facts and figures.
There is a hidden agenda behind it and so it is against the interest of the general public.
If the State Government sticks to its stand, then there would be chaos in the society and the Government should be held responsible for any untoward incidents arising out of the situation, she added.
