Tamenglong, July 16 2013:
Joseph Pauline, ADM Tamenglong has observed that population is needed to some extent for establishment of new villages.
However, beyond this extent, it is problematic, causing undue pressure on the economy.
So, it is better to give birth in adjustable size and produce quality.
He was speaking as Chief Guest during of the World Population Day & Population Stabilization Fortnight observance at the District Hospital Complex, Tamenglong.
The observance was organised by District Health Mission Society Tamenglong in collaboration with Family Welfare Department, Tamenglong.
Guiliangliu Panmei, President Zeliangrong Pui Baudi Tamenglong District graced the occasion as guest of honour.
Pointing out the wrong notion among Zeliangrong people who keep on producing children until a male child is born in the family, Joseph observed that too many children in the family won't help in bringing quality and standard child.
Rather it would lead to many problems like trafficking.
He also stressed on the need for education of women in the society.
During the observance, Sister Mp.
Toguiliu, ANM- UIP & MCH Cell, district Hospital Tamenglong spoke on birth control programme and explained that there are three ways for a mother/ female to prevent.
