Discourse on Myanmar

The Centre for Myanmar Studies, Manipur University, in collaboration with Euro Burma Office South Asia (EBOSA), New Delhi organised a discussion programme on the issue of emerging scenario in Myanmar at Anthropology department, Manipur University today.
The discussion focused on the various political, social and economic developments of the Myanmarese.
It also drew the attention on how the people of North Eastern states of India and the World as a whole can look into the problems faced by the country.
The discourse suggested that it is high time to come to solution regarding education and health system of the people of Myanmmar.
It further highlighted that the expanding trade should favour the people and not only to the economic advantage alone while emphasising that the two growing powers of Asia�India and China, should give best support to uplift the country.
The panellists of the discussion included Dr Achan Mungleng, Coordinator, EBOSA; Prof W Nabakumar, HoD Anthropology department; Retd Prof Arambam Lokendra.
Renowned scholars and" activists like Prof Amar Yumnam, Dean of Social Sciences, MU; Witoubou Newmai, editor of Newmai News Network; Human Rights activist, Babloo Loitongbam and various other scholars and students of MU participated in the discussion.
