Imphal, May 25 2018:
Apart from providing LPG connections free of cost to 81 BPL families under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, cards for Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang were also distributed to 105 beneficiaries in a simple function held at the residence of Yaiskul A/C MLA Th Satyabrata Singh at Singjamei Wangma Bhagyabati Leikai, Imphal today.
The function which was organized by RBD Indane Gas Service was graced by Yaiskul A/C MLA Th Satyabrata Singh as chief guest while RBD Indane Gas Service proprietor G Robindro Sharma and BJP Yaiskul Mandal president Khwairakpam Bishwamitra Singh attended as presidium members.
Speaking at the function, Satyabrata appealed the people of the State to be aware of various Government schemes being implemented in the State and to take the benefits under the schemes.
He said that the benefits received by the targeted beneficiaries are still less and added that misuse of such schemes could be a result of the lack of awareness about the schemes by the people and their rights to claim their benefits.
He also urged the people to self-explore the benefits and welfare schemes that can be availed and claim them rightfully instead of waiting for someone to approach them.
This will curtail the exploitation of their rights from gaining the benefits resulting to successful implementation of Govt schemes, he opined.
Asserting that the Government schemes being implemented in the State are taken up for the welfare of the people, the MLA further claimed that the Government has delivered benefits for various schemes to at least two lakh people living under BPL status till date.
