Imphal, May 25 2018:
Maichou Ningshing Lup has demanded the State Government to bring a definite solution to the land dispute at Khurai Ahong Pung atthe earliest.
Speaking to media persons at Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) office at Keishampat today, the president of the Lup Tomba Khuman claimed that the issue arose because of the failure on part of the authority concerned to properly specify the boundaries after the State Archeology took 0.09 acres (out of the total 0.19 acre of land) from the area under the Historical Monument Act.
It was also found that the said area came under the name of one Bheigyapati Prasad in 2004, he said and urged the State Government to bring a solution to the land issue at the earliest.
