RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya to meet St Anthony in summit clash

RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya (RKSDV) will lock horns with St Anthony in the final of the interschool basketball competition held in connection with the silver jubilee celebration of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Haotal Pangei tomorrow.
The interschool knock-out basketball competition being participated by 5 schools kicked off today in the presence of Thongam Asha Devi, Director RKSDV, Mona tongbram, Joint Director RKSDV and Dr Khaidem Manihar Singh, Principal RKSDV as presidium members.
In the first match of the competition, hosts RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya (RKSDV) thrashed Pitambara English School by 28-2 points in a very one sided match.
Farista Kanthun led the attack for RKSDV scoring a total of 11 points while A Rita, Nganthoi Thokchom and Y Malemnganbi added 4 points each.
N Monita, NS Jenny scored 2 points each while Anjali Pebam scored 1 point for the winning team.
The �paltry points for Pitambara was scored by Joshilia in the first quarter.
In yet another one sided match, St Anthony got better of Maria Montessori by an overwhelming 42-6 points.
St Anthony enjoyed 16-0, 24-0 leads in the first two quarters while the third quarter saw them take a 34-2 lead before the game ended 42-6 .
Kerorita scored a total of 12 points to emerge the highest scorer while Leishemi Hongray made a total of 8 points.
Lanphuliliu, Kalingsiuleu, Aneylu and Deborah scored 4 points each for the winning side while Chuthanliu, Melody and Kariugaimei contributed 2 points each.
Prajna Sapam scored a total of 4 points for Maria while Pernika scored the other two points for Maria Montessori.
In another match, RKSDV hammered Eden Public School by 49-10 points to set up final clash with St Anthony.
A Rita scored 14 points alone while Farista shone with 12 points in this match.
Nganthoi, N Monika also gathered 8 points each while NS Jenny and T Tombisana added 5 and 2 points respectively.
On the other hand, Lamyanbi M scored 4 points while T Kritty, T Meenakumari and L Chanbi contributed 2 points each to make it 10 points.
