Chilivai lives up to Poumai Naga Ts�doumai Me Chilivai (PNTMC) jubilee gala

Senapati, January 18 2013: Established in the year 1963 with the motto 'Learn and Shine', the Poumai Naga Ts�doumai Me Chilivai (PNTMC) joyously celebrated its golden jubilee under the theme 'Conscience & Unity' here today at Chilivai centre ground, Shamaif�, Lakhamai village in Senapati district with Karong assembly constituency MLA Dr.V Alexander Pao as chief guest and SDO/BDO of Purul Sub-Division, P P Ronald as the guest of honor.

The celebration was organized by PNTMC and hosted by Lakhamai village.

Addressing the gathering of Poumai community of the Chilivai circle and 21 participating teams of the PNTMC annual sports meet, Dr.V Alexander Pao, who possesses double Phd degree in History and Biblical Studies, said that the students and the people of Chilivai circle in general, is not lesser then the Lepaona and Paomata circles of Poumai community.

He urged the students of Chilivai to step forward, lead and carry forward the good works that their seniors have started many years ago and bring glory to the circle, as they celebrates 50 years of existence.

Also emphasizing on the spirit of a true sportsmanship, Dr.V Alexander Pao asked the 21 participating teams to display their God given talents and not to misuse it by being unfair with their opponents as they strive to win.

"When you lose, lose with a smile and when you win, win with humble and grateful heart," added Dr.V Alexander Pao.

Meanwhile, Dr.V Alexander Pao went on to say that he joined politics after relieving himself as the Principal of Mt.

Everest College to help the poor and the needy and to complete the task of bringing development to Poumai area which his predecessors have initiated in the past years.

He however expressed his inability to meet the wants of the people and his heart's desire for more developments because he is an MLA outside the ruling party and not a minister of the government of Manipur.

Earlier the guest of honor P P Ronald while urging the Poumais to put their heart, mind and soul in everything they do to reap success, has also appealed the Poumais to support their elected representatives for the betterment of the Poumais and for peaceful co-existence among the community.

"Learn to respect and honor governing bodies and elders.

Learn to appreciate each other and extend thanks to each other," said P P Ronald while addressing the gathering at Shamaif�, Lakahamai.

PNTMC and the people of Chilivai circle felicitated Tholu Rocky of Kodom Khavii and P Duna Duo of Phaibung for their excellence in the recent MPSC exam while P D Shavei Pro of Sirong Sof�, Worngathang Chalamvah of Thiwa and K Willingson of La� Vaf�mai were felicitated for winning national gold medal in 39 Kg, 32 Kg and 45 Kg categories respectively at the recently concluded 25th National Jeet Kune-Do Championship held at Indira Ghandi Stadium, New Delhi.

The PNTMC Goldern Jubilee-cum-Sports meet which has kicked off on January 15 would conclude on January 29 .
