ZBM greets people on Gaan-Ngai

Tamenglong, January 18 2013:
The Zeliangrong Baudi Manipur has extended its greeting to the people of the state as a whole and particularly the Zeliangrong people living in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland on the occasion of Gaan Ngai which is going to be celebrated on 25 January 2013 .
The Manipur state government has officially declared the 25th January as state holiday.
The statement signed by its information and publicity secretary Johnny Gangmei, ZBM expressed its concern over changing the date of the celebration of the festival by some sections of Zeliangrong community from 25th January to 24th January 2013 .
ZBM appealed to all not to be divided on trivial issues but be united as Zeliangrong and celebrate the Chakan Gaan Ngai in a fitting manner and let there be no bandh or strike on that day.
While appealing to all to extend fullest cooperation for the success of Lui- Ngai Ni 2013, the ZBM also informed that it would be taking a culture troupe and delegates around 100 or more for from Tamenglong District for the Lui-Ngai-Ni celebration at Chandel district.
