Employment Exchange jam-packed with Police constable aspirants

Soon after the notification for recruitment of 2000 Police Constables was issued by the Home Department, the Employment Exchange offices located across the State have been jam-packed by applicants coming to submit their employment exchange cards.
The Employment Exchange Office, Imphal West had issued a notification for recruitment of 2000 Police Constables in Manipur Police Department.
The notification informed that the applicants, who have registered their names in the Employment Exchange, can meet the respective Vacancy Assistant.
Accordingly, hundreds of applicants are thronging the offices of Employment Exchange on daily basis, ever since.
In an exclusive interview with Hueiyen Lanpao, the Employment Officer of Imphal West, informed that since the day the notification for recruitment of 2000 Police Constables was issued, around 300 and more applicants coming to the Employment Exchange office on daily basis to submit their registration cards.
The last date for submission of employment exchange cards is January 24 .
The officer further informed that along with submission of employment exchange cards, the number of newly registered individuals in the Employment Exchange has increased manifold during the last few days.
He explained that job seekers of the State can now register their names in Employment Exchange via the internet.
This way, the process for registration is also fast.
There have been days now when around 1000 applicants are registered in a single day.
Furthermore, the officer conveyed that at present there are around 1,74,371 educated unemployed youths registered in the Employment Exchange office of Imphal West district alone.
The district-wise figures of job seekers in Manipur are 1,06,313 (male- 75,195 & female-31,118) in Imphal East district; 1,74,371 (male-1,12,921 & female-61,451) in Imphal West; 1,10,615 (male-86,248 & female-24,067) in Thoubal; 65,607 (male-48,569 & female-17,044) in Bishnupur; 65,294 (male-47,973 & female-17,371) in Churachandpur; 29,117 (male-20,029 & female-9,008) in Ukhrul; 54,416(male-38973 & female-15,443) in Senapati; 22,685(male-16966 & female-5719) in Tamenglong and 27,005 (male-18,267 & female-8738) in Chandel.
The Physical Test for recruitment of 2000 police Constables would be conducted at Manipur Police Training College, Pangei from January 24-27 .
