Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, January 18 2013:
Communist Party of India (CPI) has demanded immediate rollback of hike in diesel price.
In a press statement issued in New Delhi, the party said, it opposes the decontrol of diesel price which has opened the doors for the oil companies to hike prices every month.
This will inevitably lead in the transportation cost, cost of production in agriculture and thus have a cascading effect on the overall price structure at a time when the country is gripped under inflation and subsidies meant for the common people are being cut across the board, it said.
