CNPO says no to KNLF camp

Chandel Naga Peoples' Organisation (CNPO) has objected to housing of KNLF cadres by setting up a separate designated camp and asserted that by doing so it would hamper peaceful atmosphere in the district.
Talking to media in connection with a press statement issued by PRO IGAR (S) regarding the homecoming of KNLF cadres, President of CNPO Ws Kanral Anal stated that even though CNPO welcomed the process, housing of KNLF cadres outside of KNO or UPF designated camps will not be accepted.
Recalling that the strong protest against sheltering of surrendered millitants in the district in the last couple of months, CNPO president appealed to the authority concerned not to go against the wishes of the people by opening any more designated camps of the UG groups in Chandel district.
On the other hand, CNPO President has made a fervent appeal to people of Chandel to maintain peace and calm in the district in the event of 16th Lok Sabha elections result declaring on May 16 .
