State logs four new cases

Imphal, April 06 2022:
As the daily test positivity rate is dropping gradually after reporting a sudden spike a couple of days back, the state on Wednesday reported only four new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 416 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 0.96 per cent positivity rate against 1.24 per cent recorded on Tuesday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120.Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, 6 patients were discharged from home isolation (4) and Covid Care facilities (2) .
Number of active cases came down to 44 out of which 23 (52.27 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 298 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 189 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,348 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 42 new positive cases and no fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 43 and zero respectively.
According to official reports, all the 4 fresh cases (1 male & 3 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1), Ukhrul (1) and Tengnoupal (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,136 (general population - 1,32,122 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,972 (general population - 1,29,965 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 44 (general population - 44 and CAPF personnel - 0) .
The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 113 D-type and 0 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Whereas, 1568 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,44,961, out of which 11,85,105 had received second doses and 66,847 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,720), Imphal East (30,434), Thoubal (10,149), Churachandpur (11,052), Kangpokpi (3130), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9831), Senapati (2491), Ukhrul (3271), Kakching (6892), Chandel (2718), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1200), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5)', Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0).Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,195 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,653 CPM.
Test rate has improved to.5,16,825 tests per million population against the national average of 5,63,848 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent While the cumulative positivity rate came down to 8.55 per cent.
