CAC hails ECI, CEO

The Christian Action Committee (CAC) has expressed its appreciation to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for rescheduling the date of the first phase of polling to February 28 from February 27 which was a Sunday.
The CAC convenor Rev L Simom, in a release, appreciated the wisdom and office of ECI for its kind and noble gesture by promptly responding positively and for allowing Christians to cast their votes on Monday instead of Sunday.
The CAC convenor further thanked the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Manipur besides expressing sincere gratitude to all political parties, civil organisations, student bodies and Government officials.
The committee convenor went on to thank the Christians of Manipur irrespective of the denominations for their prayer and support apart from the Christian leaders who stood with the CAC in unity and solidarity through the struggle against the polling on Sunday (February 27) .
While showing gratitude to leaders of the All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO) for trusting the committee, the CAC convenor added that the CAC will continue to cherish the historic victory through Jesus Christ.
