The massive utilization of teachers either at offices or valley schools has caused unprecedented damage to the normal functioning of Hill Schools and this was unearthed during a joint inspection of Kamuching High School today said ATSUM education secretary, Kakai Singsit.
A team of ATSUM comprising of its legal secretary, Simthar Jajp led by its education secretary, Kakai Singsit and Zillai Eastern Block had a joint inspection of Kamuching High School under Island Sub-Division in Kangpokpi today.

Unless the culture of utilization of teachers is abolished, any Govt policies and programmes in the hill districts of Manipur particularly the education sector will remain murky and impossible to meet its purposes, he said.
"During the joint inspection, it has come to light that the Kamuching High School building under construction since 2015 only has skeletal remains of the structures.
Students are compelled to learn under the incomplete building at their own peril," said Kakai Singsit.
"Out of the 11 teachers the school has, three were found to have been utilized.
It has seriously dented the academic career of the poor students studying in the school," he said.
Most of the students are from families with poor economic background and many of them belong to Mapithel dam downstream affected families.
It is the moral and social responsibility of the Govt to address their suffering and repatriate the three teachers in the right earnest, the education secretary said.
